Citizen Police Academy Now Accepting Applications!
Denton County Water District Police Department’s first Citizen Police Academy is now accepting applications for our upcoming class, which will start on April 14, 2022.
The program will be an in-depth, hands on course taught by the law enforcement professionals who patrol your streets everyday. It will be held on 10 consecutive Thursdays, from 6 – 9 p.m. The academy is open to all residents of Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 10 (Savannah, Arrowbrooke, and Artesia.)
To apply, download the Application and Release of Liability Waiver and return them in person or by email. If emailed, please be sure to bring the signed originals to the first class. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2022.
Due to the nature of this course and topics covered, a basic background check will be conducted prior to acceptance. If you have ever been convicted of a felony or been convicted of a Class A Misdemeanor (and some Class B Misdemeanors) in the past 10 years, you are not eligible to participate. Questions? Email Sgt Joe Gordon.
