Chief’s Message

The men and women of Denton County Water District Police Department are dedicated professionals serving the Denton County Fresh Water Supply District # 10 communities, which include the Savannah, ArrowBrooke and Artesia neighborhoods. As a department, we focus on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which we serve.  We estimate that we serve a population of over 15,000 citizens and that number continues to grow. Our staff includes nineteen sworn, full time police officers, one part time police officer, two civilian staff members and one volunteer.  These employees make up our leadership team, patrol supervisors, patrol officers, criminal investigator, a school resource officer for Savannah Elementary, a civilian investigator, support services technician and volunteer police chaplain.

The members of the Denton County Water District Police Department value the trust of our citizens and will perform our duties by following the core values of  empathy, integrity, service, and transparency.  Through partnerships and collaborative efforts, we will strive to enhance the safety and security within our community.

We invite and encourage our community members to take the opportunity to participate in public safety events, including neighborhood watch programs, citizen ride along program, national night out, neighborhood safety committees, vacation watch program, bike safety program, Police Explorers, and fraud prevention presentations. The department is currently developing additional community programs including a citizen’s police academy.
